MONDAY NOVEMBER 6

I woke a little after midnight because I had to pee really bad. Scott was there and helped me to the bathroom. I felt really good but had been in bed so long I needed to get my sea legs. Afterward he helped me back in bed. He put the blood pressure cuff and the finger thing back on. He got me on my right side and covered me up. He smelled really good so he must have gone home. He said, do you feel ok? I said yes. He said, my blood pressure was too high and it worried him. He got in bed with me just like the other night. Putting his right arm over me he whispered in my ear, I love you and I was asleep. Around 4am he got up and went to the chair. He woke me up about 5:45am and said, I had an appointment with the doctor and wanted to know if I could get up. I felt really good and said, sure. A few minutes later the nurse showed with a wheel chair. She saw Scott and said, The doctor said if I saw you to tell you that you are not suppose to be here it is not your day. She said, you would know what she was talking about. Scott said, yes and thankyou. He gave me a kiss good bye and went downstairs to let the other guard go home early. Conner showed up a little after 6:30am but I was in another room. The nurse had run me through all her test and now the doctor was going to check out the twins. She came in and put the jell on my stomach. She spent a long time looking at the babies and showing them to me. She said, they had turned upside down and looked really good. She said, everything is really good this morning so if your blood pressure stays down I might let you go home after dinner. I am going to leave your name on your door and if you feel bad at all or just want to come over here to rest, you just tell the nurse at the front you are back and you already have a bed. I am worried about preeclampsia. So someone has to check your blood pressure every two hours. If you start vomiting, getting dizzy, changes in vision, flashing lights, seeing spots or a headache that will not go away, get yourself over here. OK? I said yes. She said, also you know Scott and Conner have been told they can only see you on certain days. I said, yes. The nurse took me back to my room. I was feeling really good and was excited about the news and pictures of the kids. I was so happy they are doing well. Conner was in the room and I told him the doctor showed me the babies and they looked really good. He helped me back into bed and told me it was great news. I told him I might get to go home tonight after dinner if my blood pressure stayed down. He started smiling. He said he thought maybe he could stay and have breakfast with me before he had to go to work. I said, that would be great. If I am not eating or sleeping, there isn’t really anything else to do here and its nice to have company. We started talking about Thanksgiving and Christmas. He wondered what Mom would want and what I would want. We had a nice visit. After breakfast I went to sleep and he went to work. No one came to visit at lunch. After lunch Dr. Walton showed up and said, he wanted to meet with me before he met with the guys. He asked if they had told me about the rules he set down for them. I said, yes. Scott told me. He said, we want a stress free environment for you. I said, I understand. I told him about the babies this morning and how excited I was they were doing well. I told him I thought Conner was going to ask me to stay in his room tonight and I just don’t think I can do it. He said, don’t do it if it is going to upset you. Did he say he wanted to have sex you? I said, no. He said, he wanted to keep an eye on me but, there is only one bed. So yes, it worried me. He said, the man lost his wife and he is just worried that some thing might happen to you. He didn’t seem to be the kind of person who would take advantage of you. He walked into this situation thinking everything was going to be different. He left his kids because they didn’t want to come here and he misses them. We had a long talk and it was good. When he left I went back to sleep. Scott texted me that he talked to Carlson and told him that he thought my new home should be ready by Thanksgiving just in case the kids come early. Carlson sent several men over who where working on the other side to make it happen. He also said, that himself and Paul joined Carlson’s boxing class. I remember he had told me before that Carlson had a new boxing gym on the other side. When Conner showed up for dinner I was watching the Adams Family. He said, he liked the show and so did his kids. After dinner the nurse came in and said, the doctor said, everything was good all day so you can go home or stay, its up to you? I said, I think I will go home. She got me already and I changed clothes. She told Conner that this room was reserved for me and if I was not feeling well to bring me back to this room. She gave him a pressure monitor and a wheel chair. He pushed me to Mom’s room and everyone was still up. I said, good night to him and he went to his room. I visited with the kids. Told Mom about my doctor visit this morning and that the kids had turn up side down. I told her I was feeling really good today and then went to sleep. It was mostly a quite day. Things should be quite until the kids are born since I am suppose to get lots of rest.
