I woke up early and felt better than I had in the last couple of days. Scott came for breakfast and showed me some more pictures of my new home. He also told me about how he was almost done with his paper. He brought me a mommy pillow. The doctor wants me on my left side so this pillow really helps between my knees. It was a nice visit and I hated to see him go. He was working everyday now because I was in the hospital and he wanted to take some time off when the kids were born.
Dr. Walton came to visit. I told him I was feeling better and I didn’t dream last night. It was a nice talk and visit.
Conner came for dinner and it was really nice. He said, he was missing me everyday and hated to leave. At the end of the day I was feeling so good I felt like I could go home. Going to ask for a lounge chair so I can get out of bed. I texted Mom and asked if she could bring the kids to visit. I really missed them.
Matthew with the donkey, Jean, and the goats were slowly making their way down the mountain. Matthew hurt really bad and was so tired but kept telling himself it would be a matter of time and they would be at the bottom. The donkey nudged Matthew with his nose. Matthew had fallen asleep standing up on the trail. Matthew decided to tie a rope to the back of the donkey and to him. He would walk behind the animal like he did on the way up. That way if he fell asleep again he would not walk over the edge of the mountain. Plus the animal would keep him awake because it would not stop because it wanted to get down the mountain. It had most likely been up and down this mountain many times and maybe there was a barn at the bottom.
WEDNESDAY NOVEMBER 22 I woke up early this morning feeling really good. Even though it had only been a few days I was really tired of staying in bed. Scott came for breakfast and I was really happy to see him. He was happy I was feeling better.
After breakfast they brought in a really night lounge chair and a different table to go next to it. It felt really good to get out of bed. After that a nurse came and got me in the shower, washed my hair and me. Mom texted they were bringing the kids tomorrow and thanksgiving goodies. I was feeling really good when lunch came. Scott and Conner both text me every couple of hours saying how much they missed me. I ate and fell asleep.
Dr. Walton came and I talked to him about the problem with Scott and Conner. I told him that I agree with Matthew that Conner could protect me better but I was in love with Scott. He said, after I have the kids I can start figuring out what to do about that situation. I should only take on one problem at a time and right now having the kids is most important. I agreed with him. He said we will talk about that more next week. He said, he would not be back until Monday but gave me his number in case I needed to call. He said, day or night if I need to talk. He didn’t want me to get stressed out. I agreed.
Matthew passed out and fell down. The donkey stopped and looked at him. The donkey wait a few minutes and when Matthew didn’t get up the donkey start dragging him. This woke him up. It was totally black outside when they got down the hill so Matthew didn’t know what time or day it was. The donkey walked up to a door at the bottom of the temple and stopped. Matthew passed out again. The donkey waited and Matthew didn’t come to the door so the donkey pawed at the door. A young monk inside heard the noise and opened the door. It was a barn room where they kept the animals. The donkey came in dragging Matthew. After Matthew was in the young monk shut the door and ran to get help. Several young monks came. They gently took Jean off the donkey onto a stretcher and took him to medical. One of the other monks helping put Matthew on a stretcher noticed the burns on his arms. He called the monk in charge over and showed him. The monk in charge said he is a Shaolin warrior. He said to the group carrying the stretcher to have the doctor take really good care of him. Another young monk looked in the bags on the donkey and waved the monk in charge over. The monk in charge looked at the baby goats and his eyes got really big. He said, only the highest monks or royalty have these goats. He assignment two of the young monks to take care of the baby goats and donkey. He warned them nothing should happen to them. The baby goats ate well and hopped around their pen. They were so happy to be out of the bags. The young monks feed the donkey and put all of Matthew’s belongs near the pen in a safe place.
Since they had a lot of visitors come to the temple for training they had a good medical clinic. The doctor at the clinic put both men in beds and decide Jean was in bad shape. He had x-rays and other test and then started treatment. About 6 hours later Matthew woke up and there was a young monk left to watch over them. Matthew was only half awake but told the young monk that they had to take care of Jean. The young monk told Matthew not to worry the doctor was taking good care of him and he could go back to sleep.
