THURSDAY JANUARY 4

I was woke up by two nurses. The nurse who had come to take blood had seen my shirt was totally soaked. My breast hurt really bad and they were leaking all over my hospital gown. They were so swollen and ached. The nurses help me take off my hospital gown. One nurse washed my breast and stomach. The other nurse had a new breast pump. Hands free. Really nice. She helped me get the breast pump on and started. They put a folded bed pad under the other one for a few minutes. After pumping both breast I felt much better. The bottles were put in my little fridge. I had always feed the babies in the middle of the night and my breast were ready for that. Breakfast was coming in a few minutes so I went to the bathroom and cleaned up more. I was so hungry and breakfast was so great as usual. I ate all of it. I thought I am going to get so fat. After breakfast the doctor came in and said, I was doing great and could go home. I got up and started getting ready when Matthew showed up with a wheel chair. He hugged me and kissed me. He was almost in tears when he said, you make my life worth living. Please don’t ever leave me. I looked him in his eyes and said, I love you very much. I would never do that. You don’t have to worry. I kissed him. He said, Jackson called and said, his wife had shown some improvement and the babies were do well. She still has a long way to go. I smiled because that was great news. He said, let’s get you home. We gathered up everything including the new breast pump and the bottles of breast milk from the fridge. Matthew holding the handles of the wheel chair said, your chariot awaits you my lady. I sat in the wheel chair with my to go home bag and off we went. When I got there Mom gave me a big hug and said, she was worried when she heard I was at the hospital. I said, I was fine. That I got dehydrated because I didn’t drink enough water but I am fine now. I looked at the babies and my two older ones playing on the floor and wanted to cry with happiness. I looked at Matthew and said, I really hope Jackson’s wife makes it. Matthew said, I hope so too. I said to Mom, thankyou for taking such good care of the kids. Mom smiled really big and said, that is what grandma’s are supposed to do. That put a smile on my face. I put my new breast milk from the hospital in the fridge. I saw a large pack of protein milk that the doctor sent over. I added a few to the fridge. I picked up one of the babies and asked the nurse when I should feed them again. She replied, they my be really now or soon. I sat in the lounge chair. I started feed the baby. I looked around the room at everything I had and wondered how I ever ended up with this great life. Matthew asked if it was ok for him to go back to work? I said, yes I am fine. Besides I have this wonderful grandmother to help. Matthew went back to work and came back at dinner. The rest of the day was really nice. When my head hit the pillow it felt great but was tired enough to go right to sleep.
