Scott woke up around 1:30am. He laid there a while and then decided going back to sleep was not going to happen. He decided to go to the gym. He got his gym clothes on, grabbed a towel and went to the gym. He was there for a long time working out. He thought I am going to be sore. So he went in the hot tub for 30 minutes and then hit the showers. Afterward he went looking for joke books. In the storage room was a lot of books. He found a knock knock joke book and another book with jokes. He took them back to his room and looked through them for a few minutes. He then went to the kitchen and asked if there were any boxes of chocolates. One of the people checked the storage room and found a small but nice box. He gave the man the joke books and asked if he could have someone add the books and chocolates to Angels breakfast. He said there wasn’t a problem. The man set them on a desk in the kitchen office with a note as to were the go. Scott thanked the man and went back to his room. Paul’s door was open so he went to see him. He told Paul he couldn’t sleep and would not be going back to bed. He would take over. Paul said, ok and he would go to bed. Scott in his room got the book he had been reading and sat in his chair in the hall. He felt like his old self again. He now spent his time day dreaming about Angel and how he was going to have a new family. It was hard to read his book. At breakfast Mom was clinching his teeth to keep from yelling at him. After breakfast he took Serena to class and brought her back when it was over. He then went to talk with Carlson. After he was finished with Carlson he headed to see Angel. The guard had Angel’s door open. Scott asked how she was doing. The guard said she had been crying a lot. Scott asked why and the guard didn’t know. Scott asked if he had another chair because he didn’t feel it was appropriate to set on her bed while he talked to her. He gave him a chair and he went in. Angel had her eyes closed but wasn’t asleep. Angel opened her eyes and said, Hi, Scott. Scott could see her eyes were red from crying. Scott said, did you get the candy? Angel smiled and said, yes. Thankyou. I already ate two pieces. Scott said, do want to come sit in your chair and talk? Angel said, yes and started getting out of bed. Scott helped her to the chair. He put his chair right next to her chair. He saw the joke books and asked if she found any good jokes. She said, the ones I have read so far are ok, but have not found a great one yet. He asked how she was feeling. She said, ok. Having some trouble with my back and I waddle when I walk. Scott said, why have you been crying? Angel thought I wish he hadn’t asked that question. How will she hold back the tears. Scott waited and finally she answered. Angel said, I am afraid Matthew is dead. Tears started coming down her cheek. Scott took her hand and said, I know dear. We have all been worried about that for a while but I didn’t want to upset you. She started crying more. Scott put his arm around her pulling her head to his shoulder. Scott said, I am sorry. We all loved Matthew. Try not to cry I don’t want you to make yourself sick. We have to think of the babies. Scott got up and asked the guard if he could get some chocolate milk. He then got the box of Kleenex and took several out. He sat back down and put his arm around her again. He said, Its going to take time but things will get better. He took his hand and raised her chin so he could get to her face. He started wiping her tears. Angel, I am here for you and will help you through this difficult time. I really care about the kids and they need you. So you have to take care of yourself and try not to cry. You can depend on me and tell me anything. The guard came in and handed him the chocolate milk. He started opening the milk. Angel said, I loved Matthew so much. Scott said, I know we are all upset about loosing him. Now I want you to try and calm down so you don’t get sick. Here drink this chocolate milk. Angel took the milk and started drinking it a little at a time. Angel was thinking. I have to be strong for the babies. Scott is right I will make myself sick. She kept trying to drink the chocolate milk. It was helping and tasted great. She started doing better. Scott said, Why don’t I have them bring my lunch here and we will eat together. Would you like that? Angel shook her head yes. Scott got on his phone to the kitchen and asked if they could send his lunch with Angel’s. When he hung up he told Angel they said it would not be a problem. He threw away the tissues and got some more. He put his arm around her and pulled her head to his shoulder. He said, I don’t want you to worry. I will be here for you and the kids. He kissed her on her head. She said, thankyou Scott. Scott said, why don’t we read some of your jokes and see if we can find a good one. Angel slowly sat up and pick up one of the books. She handed it to Scott. He started going through it and reading the jokes to her. He finally got a little smile. They brought her lunch so he got her back in bed and got her started on her lunch. He sat in his chair, ate his lunch and talked to her. They talked about the shows she had found to watch and why she liked them. After lunch she got very sleepy and finally fell asleep. Scott went to her bed side and kissed her hand and said, I will come back later and check on you. Scott told the guard she fell asleep and he would come check on her later. Scott went back to the gym. Worked out for 30 to 40 minutes. He then went and sat in the hot tub. He kept thinking I have to find a way to keep the stress down to get through this. He went threw the family room and Paul was there. He sat down next to Paul and said, how are you doing? Paul said great. Scott said, I just want to tell you I am so glad you are my brother. I love you brother. Paul looked at him and wondered what was up. He then said, I love you too. Scott said, I just don’t think I tell you enough. Paul said, We haven’t talk much for a long time. Scott said, if you ever need to talk to me let me know. Paul said, ok. Thanks. Scott got up and went to his room. He had another bottle and took some drinks from it. He thought that helps. He took a couple more drinks and then though I don’t want to over do it. At dinner time he went back to have dinner in Angel’s room. She was awake and he sat in his chair to talk. She thanked him for helping for earlier. She said, she shouldn’t cry but it was hard. He said, he understood. As she ate dinner she asked how Hunter was and he said just as wonder and sweet as always. She asked about the baby and he said he was great. Serena is so in love with him it is hard to get him away from her. Angel smiled. She said, Serena is great and takes good care of him. After dinner Angel showed Scott the show Mr. Ed about the talking horse. They both watched and then Angle had to go to the bathroom. Scott helped her out of bed and to the bathroom. When she was done he helped her back in bed. She said she was getting sleepy again. Scott stood next to her bed and asked her if she was feeling better. She said, yes. Scott said, no more crying and Angel said no more crying. Scott took her hand and kissed it and said, I am going to go and let you get your rest. I will check on you tomorrow. Angel said, ok and shut her eyes. Scott kissed her hand again. He then left saying to the guard he would come again tomorrow. Scott went to his room, took off his clothes, took his bottle, turned off the light, sat on his bed and started drinking. He felt guilty that he didn’t want Matthew to come back. Matthew had always been so good to him. He drank himself to sleep.
