I woke up this morning and Matthew was kissing my hand. When I opened my eyes he said, is Mommie ready to get up for breakfast. I smiled and said, yes. He had this starry-eyed look. His bruised eye had turned yellow and was going away. He didn’t look so sickly now that he was eating. I was starting to see more of Matthew. I sat up and said, I was having this wonderful dream that we were back in our room and we were dancing. He smile and said, that was a great time. I went to the bathroom and when I came out he had put the song “Tennessee Whiskey” on his phone so we could dance to it. He took my hand and put his arm around me and started dancing. He held me like he did before, tight and close to him. It brought back memories from our room. It was so nice. When I shut my eyes I felt like this was Matthew and he was back. When the song ended the nurse came in with the cart that had our food. He kissed me and I got in bed to eat my breakfast. I was feeling really good and the way he woke me up was really nice. The doctor came to see us and she said, I was doing really well but she wanted me to stay another couple of days. She said, tell me when you feel like going home and I will let you know what I think. I said, ok. Matthew said, he wanted to go back to the gym today. She went over and took his hand and pushed his sleeve back looking at his brands and then the other sleeve. She then said, those are looking good but they need more time. Your heal needs more time. So you can’t use any equipment that effects your arms or your foot yet. Give it a couple more days. The doctor said, see you tomorrow and left. Then Mom texted and said, she was going to come over and see me and the babies. She then text Matthew and told him. She wanted to see him. Matthew texted back that his bruises had turned yellow and he was looking better but wanted her to wait another couple of days. She said, ok. Josh showed up with Sergeant and clean robes. Sergeant ran up and jumped on Matthew. Matthew started hugging her and said, I missed you so much. Have you been taking care of Josh and the baby goats for me? She turned her head and looked at Josh. He said, yes. She has been sleeping with them and playing with them. They are really happy. Matthew said, thankyou. Sergeant got down and Matthew went over and hugged Josh. He said, thankyou brother. He put his robes on his bed except one in a package. He said to Josh, this one is for Jean. It was a nice white one. Matthew turned to me and said, they would be back. He was going to check on Jean. Mom came and we had a really nice visit. She held the babies and almost cried saying, I never thought I would be blessed with grandchildren. I told her I knew how she feels. I didn’t think I would ever have any children but Matthew has made my life so great. She asked, How Matthew was doing? I told her that he was doing well but his appearance had changed and it may take her a little while for her to adjust to it but, it is Matthew. She said, what do you mean? I said, Matthew is a monk now. He wears a robe and has shaved his head. He also calls everyone brother. She said, Thank you for telling me. I love him so much and am so glad he is back. I agreed with her. She said, she was going to bring Hunter and Wyatt over soon. That Hunter was missing me. She said, my room is all ready when I am ready to come home. I fixed it up really nice. It was a nice long visit and I gave her a hug when she left. I said, I was so glad she came over.
Matthew went in Jean’s room and he was sitting up. Matthew said, How are you doing? Jean replied, “Tis but a flesh wound.” Matthew smiled and turned to Mike. Hugging him saying, Thankyou brother. He then gave Jean the new white robe and told him when he was ready to see Serena he wanted him to look good. Jean said, thankyou. How is Serena? Matthew said, I checked on her and she is with her mom and both are doing well. Jean smiled.
Matthew went to check on Scott. He opened Scott’s door to see him asleep in a hospital bed, in a hospital gown and bag hanging. He shut the door and the guard said, they had to sedate him so they could change his bed clothes and give him something for dehydration. They are afraid of him. Matthew said, but he is ok? The guard said, according to his chart he is. He handed the chart to Matthew. Matthew looked at it. He gave it back and said, thankyou brother and left.
Dr. Walton came in the afternoon to talk. I told him that I feel so bad about have sex with another man while being married to Matthew. I also love Scott and don’t want to see him hurt but believe he is going to be because I have to go back to Matthew. I love Matthew but I think it is his appearance that is throwing me off. I love him but it is not the same. I have this num feeling and find it hard to see Matthew in this man. Dr. Walton said, I was not giving it enough time. It had only been a couple of days. He said, in time Scott will find someone else and I will find Matthew again but, it could take months. It was not going to happen over night. We had a good talk and he said, he would see me Monday.
