I woke up at 2am. I heard a woman’s voice saying, he is not here. A man talking to her said, can you find out where he went? She said, no. No one seems to know. He said, any of his family there? She said, his mom and his pregnant wife. He said, could you eliminate his mom and get out safe? She said, not a problem. They quit talking. I could smell roses. I got up. Peaked out the door and saw no one. I went out locking the door behind me. I went to the hall. There were people in the kitchen and Scott sitting in the hall reading a book like always. I walked up to Scott. He said, this better be important. It doesn’t look good for my bosses pregnant wife to be visiting me in the middle of the night. I said, I heard a woman talking to a man. From what I heard she is here to eliminate Matthew but can’t find him so she was told to get rid of Mom. Scott said, where is she? I said, I don’t know but she smells like roses. Scott texted someone on his phone. I said, there are people in the kitchen, maybe she is in there? Scott said, Ok. Go back in your room. I said, I locked the door because I didn’t know if I could find you. Scott said, A couple of the guys are coming. When they get here I want you to stay in my room with the door locked. I said, Ok. We waited a few minutes and two guys showed. Scott opened his bedroom door and had me step inside. He half smiled and said, stay in here, lock the door and don’t touch anything. I stepped in side and locked the door. Above his dresser he had all kinds of awards for martial arts. He also had a degree BS in Rehabilitation Sciences. I heard everyone in the kitchen. In the kitchen there were 5 people and Scott said, they were send to check security badges. Scott said, just a standard check. Nothing to worry about. Everyone seem to think that was fine. Scott read each badge. John, then Kevin, then Judy, then an asian woman who smelled like roses, Cathy and then Elizabeth. Scott said, thankyou. He turned to Cathy and said, your badge doesn’t have a picture? The woman said, they didn’t have time to put one on. I was just hired today. Scott said, come with me and we will get you a proper badge with your picture on it. Then you can return to the kitchen and we will be done with our security check. I heard them outside the door I was behind and peeked out . Scott was walking in front of a woman and the two guys were one on each side. Scott headed to the main door. The way out to the pool area to go to the security office. Scott was watching the woman in the glass windows in front of him. She moved her hands out and hit the guys in their stomach knocking the wind out of then and went for Scott’s neck. He ducked because he saw her in the glass and she went forward leaving her in front of him. She moved away from the two guys on the floor while facing Scott. She pulled a knife out of her boot. She bent over ready for attack. She sung at Scott several times. Scott grabbed her arm with the knife. At the same time he took his leg and wrap it through her legs getting her left leg and causing her to fall to the ground. She popped back up. The two guys were on their feet and headed toward her. Scott took two fingers waving them no and then waving them to move to the other side of the room. Her back was now toward the wall. Scott said, what is your name since I am sure it is not Cathy. She said, Yekaterina Solovyova. Scott said, Russian? Scott kept moving around her. Now his back was against the wall. You don’t look Russian. She said, my father was Russian and my mother was Japanese. I grew up in Russia. Scott said. I see. Why don’t you put the knife down and we will go talk about this? She said, I have a black belt in karate. I am trained in krav maga, jeet kune do and Brazilian jiu jitsu. I am going to kill you and your men. Scott smiled a little while still moving and said, Well you are not very good at karate so put down the knife and we will go talk about this. This made her really mad. She tried to get him with the knife again. She said, I don’t get paid for talking. Scott said, what do you get paid for? She said, I came for Matthew where is he? Scott said, he is not here. She said, where did he go? Scott said, no one knows. Some secret mission. She swung at Scott with the knife. She said, when will he be back? Scott said, no one knows but Matthew. She sung at him again. She said, maybe be I will get paid big for killing you and those two. Scott said, I highly doubt that. Scott moving make her even madder and she came at him full force with moves. When she would knock him down she would smile and he would pop back up. Scott would move on her causing her to fall down and but she would pop back up. Scott was on top of her where she was holding the knife with both hands. Scott turned the knife toward her so she wrapped her legs across his shoulders pulling him back to the ground. She was now on top. Scott put one leg under her neck pulling her head back until she couldn’t stand it. Scott’s men were watching intensely. You could tell they were thinking I wish I was that good. It was like a karate movie only it was real. She took one hand off the knife and pushed his leg away. Scott got out from under her and they both popped up again. I can’t stand to watch this. I quietly started to shut the door but couldn’t. Scott said to her, ok I was wrong your are good. So lets put the knife down and talk. She ran at him and jumped trying to get her legs around his neck. Scott moved and grabbed one of her legs spinning her around and she landed on the ground only to pop back up again. She lunged at him with the knife again. Scott grabbed for her right arm with his right arm. While she was watching his right hand he kicked her in the chest with his right foot. This knocked her against the wall and she was not able to breath. She fell forward on her knife. Scott was so mad. He was walking back and forth so upset. He started cussing. Goddamn son of a bitch. I didn’t want to kill her. Shit. Fuck. Fuck. One of his men turned her over and checked her. She was dead. Scott had his hand on this forehead and was shaking his head back and forth. He looked at his men and said, I am sorry guys I didn’t mean to kill her. One of the men said, what should we do? Scott said, get a tarp and take her to Carlson’s office. If he is not there call him. Also clean this up so know one knows what happened. I had quietly shut the door and locked it. Scott came to the door and knocked on it. I opened it. He put his arms around me and hugged me the best he could with my stomach in the way. Kissing me on top of my head. He said, thankyou so much for staying in here and following my directions. And also for coming and telling me what was going on. He got his keys off his bed. Took my hand and said, we are going to put you back in bed and don’t tell anyone especially mom. I said, I won’t. He lead me back to the bedroom and quietly unlocked the door. He whispered, I will see you in the morning. Good night. I went and slipped back into bed. He went to Carlson’s office to find out how she got in. As I was going back to sleep I was thinking, now I know why Matthew picked Scott. He is really good at what he does.
Scott didn’t show for breakfast. He texted Mom he was working with Carlson on something important and would be out as soon as possible. Hunter kept looking around for him. She would scrunch up her nose and look all around. I think she was sure he was there some where and she was going to find him. Scott showed for lunch. Hunter was finally happy again. The rest of the day went as usually.
When I went to bed I said, 47 days before falling asleep.
