Matthew woke me around 4:30 nibbling on my ear. He made love to me and it was so great but I didn’t come. Didn’t even start. I wondered if my colitis was broken because this was the third time. He rolled over to his side of the bed and looked at me out of the corner of his eye. He then said, are you seeing some one else? I said, what. Unhappy Matthew said, you don’t seem to enjoy my love making. I said, why do you say that? He said, because I am gone at a lot of time not seeing you and when I come home to make love to you, you don’t come anymore. I said, I know and was thinking of going for an exam because it just quit working all of a sudden. He said, Have you been seeing someone else? I said, no. Ask your guards or mom? I wouldn’t embarrass myself by asking your security guards but I did ask mom and she said, she didn’t notice anything. When you are out of everyone’s sight are you jumping to a lover. I didn’t want him to see that. I hope the doctor can give me some answers. Mom showed at 6am to get everyone ready. I called the doctor and made an appointment at 2pm. Mom heard me and asked how I was doing? She said, Matthew said you were out of sorts and asked if I knew what was wrong. I thought what to say and said, everything is all dry down there so it makes things difficult. She said, she had heard of things like that. Maybe the doctor can help. I said, I think it is some kind of female hormone problem. Maybe I don’t have enough estrogen. Mom said, could be. When I went in the bathroom to get ready I left the door half open. I didn’t have gym today so I could stay in everyone’s sight. I wanted to cry so bad because I was worried that Matthew thinks I would even look at another man. I need to talk to Dr. Walton. He can not see me until tomorrow or maybe Monday.
SATURDAY MAY 18 Matthew went out for the morning run. He took Sergeant with him. He thought if a dog was chewing on someone’s heals they might run faster. Matthew told the dog you are working for Katarina today. Katarina thought they did do better with the dog in back. Katarina asked the dog if she would come tomorrow. The dog seemed to understand. Matthew told the men to bring their families or girl friends to breakfast. He want their families to get to know each other and spend time together while everyone was gone. We had breakfast outside and Matthew’s group was in the tent. Sergeant sat between Hunter and Wyatt. The kids loved it. Hunter would lean over her chair and when Sergeant would see her, Hunter would laugh. This made Wyatt laugh. Hunter always had a wonderful laugh and brighten everyone’s day. When breakfast was finished Mom said to Sergeant, please go get Matthew. Like a streak of lighting she was off and came back with Matthew. Mom said to Matthew, could you please bring Walker and Carter here. When Matthew returned with Walker and Carter, Mom said, I would like you and you wives to join us for breakfast tomorrow. There will also be times while you are gone when we will want the women to join us. Do you think that will be possible? The men both said, yes. Mom said to Matthew, is that ok with you? Matthew said, I think that is great. I was worried about leaving them cooped up so long. Mom said, good. I don’t think since they are now part of the family they should be locked up for months. The guard can watch them out here as well as in there. Matthew agreed. Mom said to the two men, please go to the kitchen when you are done with you activities and ask for Ginny. She will help you make up a basket as a gift for your wives. Pick out things they would like. A new dress to wear when they eat with us, a bathing suit, towel, things for their hair, nice soaps, books, chocolates, puzzles and anything else you can think of. You might be gone for several weeks so we want them to have some nice things. The men thought this was great. Hide them near their cells as a surprise. You give them the baskets Monday morning before you go. Sound good? The two men thought that was great. Mom said, ok. Then. We will take them swimming. Have them eat with us often and try to make them feel better while you are gone. Both men said, thankyou and headed to the gym. Matthew said to Mom, thankyou. This is great.
Matthew was finished around 5pm and came to join us. He kept holding my hand, kissing me and telling me how much he loved me. I knew when everyone went to bed it was going to be a good night. When every one went to sleep Matthew said, want to take a shower? I said, didn’t you already take a shower. Matthew said, yes, but I could take another one. He slipped quietly out of bed and then took my hand leading me to the bathroom. He shut the door but not all the way. Enough so he could peek out and see the kids. He moved me against the wall and started kissing my ear. He started rubbing me on the out side of my PJ’s. and said in my ear, what is inside of the pajamas? I think there is a surprise in there. SUNDAY MAY 19 Sunday morning Matthew hopped up and went for the run with Sergeant. She was so excited. She liked the run yesterday. Katarina said, you have got to really push it. I want a full out run from you people. You are not going into the program cold tomorrow but the best you can do is better. This is no day camp. This is boot camp and it is hard but will pay off in the end. It will be something to remember. When everyone came to breakfast Walker and Carter dropped off their wives. Joseph and Patrick dropped off their wives and kids. Don showed up with Bonnie a really pretty black girl and Rick with his girlfriend Tina. They wanted their girlfriends to know where they were going. He didn’t want her to wander while he was gone. The men ate in the tent. Mom explained to all the women that everyone would be spending the summer together while the men were at boot camp. Matthew explained that even though the camp was next door it was run like it was somewhere else and like a real boot camp. It was really nice to meet the wives, kids and girlfriends. Mom explained we were one happy family now and could depend on each other. The wives were happy to see where the men were going and what was going on.
An hour or so after breakfast the men went to the gym for their last workout before boot camp. All the men we excited about boot camp. The women not so much. Everyone was going to miss everyone but this was a once in a life time experience. Also it would help Matthew evaluate the program. Matthew rinsed in the shower and changed into a bathing suit with shorts over. He was ready for the day at the pool. Everyone had a really good day. They went swimming, went in the bounce houses and played lawn games. I took a nap with the kids on a blanket and Matthew stayed right by my side. He was so anxious about leaving us alone because he had lost me before. I told him I was moving down stairs with Mom while he was gone and he had nothing to worry about. And besides Sergeant was going to watch over us and you know know she will not let anything happen. Matthew looked at Sergeant and said, that is true. He looked at Sergeant and said, come here. She came to Matthew and Matthew rubbed her head and hugged her. He said, I am so happy you came into my life. You are such a good dog. She soaked it all up. Matthew turned to Hunter and said, don’t spoil her. She is a working dog. Hunter smiled really big and said, mine. Matthew said, Sergeant is mine, yours, Wyatt’s, the twins, Mom’s and Angels dog. Hunter scrunched her nose and said, mine. Matthew smiled really big and said, Mom. Make sure she doesn’t put clothes on her, put her in a baby bed or anything like that. She is a working dog. Mom smiled and said, ok. Matthew gave Mom small containers filled with handcrafted goats milk lotion for the women. He said, it will make their skin really soft. When the kids went in with mom after dark Matthew went and got wine, cheese and Chocolate cake for men and women who stayed. Jade and Melissa were so happy and having a great time. We were dancing while the other couples were dancing. Matthew was whispering in my ear sweet things. I loved dancing with Matthew. He would hold me so close and I felt so loved. After some more dancing Matthew said to the group, I have to go in. I have a big day tomorrow. Everyone else said they agreed. They were going to turn in. Mom was in our room when we came in and said, good night. Matthew packed his bag and said, everyone is meeting by the pool in the morning and walk over together. Four of Carlson’s men were going too. They were going to a different room to learn to be helicopter pilots.
MONDAY MAY 20 Matthew had trouble sleeping because of his anxiety but kept it under control. He told Sergeant more than once she had to take care of her family. I had told him once he is over there for a week he will see everything will be fine. He woke me at 4:30am kissing my ear. He said, can I show you how much I will miss you? I said, yes. He started rubbing my PJ’s between my legs. He whispered between kisses, I love you more than anything in this world. I never could resist you when you were naked. I smiled and said, I love you. Have a good day. He grabbed his bag and went out the door. I thought wow what a great morning. If only he didn’t have to leave. When Mom came I took a shower and was ready to go to breakfast.
Walker and Carter had got up and met each other with their wives at the cells. They gave their wives the baskets, kissed them and told them how much they would miss them before they locked the cells. With a kiss good by the two men were off.
Out at the pool all the other women showed up. The guards brought Jade and Melissa out. Matthew said they could guard them just as well out there as inside. It was a really nice quite day with Sergeant watching over us like a mother hen. A couple of times Hunter tried to play with her. Sergeant sat up with her head high and looked both ways as to say I am working. Its amazing how she seems to understand every thing Matthew says. In the afternoon we moved to Mom’s room and the girls helped us. We had dinner inside and went to the family room for the kids to play with the other kids and watched kid shows.
When the men got to the other side which was a boot camp they checked in. They went through everything you would in a really boot camp because this was a real boot camp but with special designed training. Uniforms, hair cuts, beds and all that other stuff. They met their new drill sergeant who yelled like a drill sergeant does. This drill sergeant was hired for his great experience. At food time they each had a meal ordered for them by Scott. The regular troops in the other house all ate the same thing. This was Scott’s chance to see how diet effected training. They were also going to get regular blood test and physicals. At night before bed the men would hold hands and say how they were brothers swore to protect each other. That they were family. That they would make it through this and other times together.
TUESDAY MAY 21 Matthew’s group was woke at 5am. The drill sergeant came in, turned on the lights and said, you have 5 minutes to get up, make your beds and get out side. They had had their phones and watches taken away so they were going by the alarm going on out side that signaled 5am. When they were ready to go out the door the sergeant had them line up and then he checked the beds. He asked a couple men to come back and fix their beds. He yelled, didn’t you learn anything yesterday at the demo? The men proudly corrected their mistakes and went back in line. One time during the day Matthew’s group passed the other military group. They had already been there 2 weeks. Matthew’s group was told don’t look at them or say anything. A couple in the military group yelled, look at the little kids. They are letting kids in here. Matthew’s group let it fall on deaf ears. Scott showed with special made protein bars and water more than an hour into the exercises. Scott said, these have 50 grams of protein and low sugar with no preservatives. Scott gave one to the drill sergeant and said, let me know what you think? The drill sergeant was very interested. He had had a hard time meeting his protein. He said to Scott, can you add me to your food program? Scott said, sure. Call me later and we should be able to get you on the program by tomorrow. He said, thankyou. I am interested if it makes any different in the exercise program. Sometimes I am dragging my feet before the day is over. Scott said, you have always eaten the military food? The drill sergeant said, yes. Scott said, this will be great for the food testing.
Before falling asleep Matthew had all the men rub on the goat cream. When Matthew hit the pillow he was tired. He though this will build my stamina and endurance more. When my head head the pillow I was down stairs in the room next to Mom. We left the door open between the two rooms. The girls went back to their rooms.
