APRIL 19 FRIDAY

I woke up and the sitter was coming out of the bathroom. I got up and went in the bathroom and when I cam out there was a knock at the door. It was Matthew with breakfast and Sergeant. I couldn’t help but smile really big like a school girl. He smiled at me and asked how I was doing. I told him I wanted to go back to our room but the doctor said not yet. He asked the sitter if I need a sitter any more and she said, no. I also said, no. He said, the sitter could go and he would leave Sergeant to take care of me. Sergeant came to the bed putting her front paws on the bed and her head under my chin. I couldn’t help but pet her. It’s so amazing how she understands everything Matthew says. I said to Matthew, that would be great. Sergeant is so wonderful. Sergeant moved and Matthew put my my breakfast on my bed table. Matthew had brought breakfast for the sitter. She picked up some toast and wrapped an egg in it. She salt and peppered it. She turned to Matthew and said, I am going to the hospital and check out. Call me if you need me again. Matthew said, thankyou so much for coming and opened the door so she could get out. He turned to me and said, I love you so much. I said, I love you too. I will be so glad when I can get back to our room. He said, Mom has the kids in her room, so when you can come back she will bring them back. Everyone misses you. I am going to a meeting with my group. There will be a guard out side. This afternoon I will have a table and chairs brought in so we can have dinner together. I smiled really big and said, that would be so great. Now that I feel better I really miss you. He said, ok, then. I got to go. He had a big smile and a little skip in his walk. He felt little like a teen again and so in love. This incident had made him realize how much he loved me. When he shut the door I heard him talk to one of his men. Thanking him for watching over me. I had so much food because the sitter left all her food except the little sandwich she took, so I gave Sergeant the sitters turkey bacon. After I was full I turned on the TV and watched some of that. I turned to Sergeant and said, I am going to need to take a shower and get clothes for dinner. I closed the bathroom door incase someone came in they would think I was in there. I went to a panel in the wall and opened it to the safe room. I opened up the back of the book case and I was in our room. I got a large bag out and started gathering clothes and other things I needed. Sergeant just watched quietly and then we slipped back into the room I was in. Shutting the book case and the wall panel on the safe room. When they came to get the lunch tray they brought the table and chairs. I was getting so excited about my dinner date. Sergeant and I watched TV, I read so magazine and we danced to some music on the TV. She wasn’t hungry because I feed her most of the stuff on the sitters tray except for things like milk, orange juice, tea and fruit. I wonder what Matthew would say if he knew. I took a shower around 3pm.

Matthew showed around 4:30pm. He gave Sergeant to the guard outside because she needed to go for a walk. I wanted to throw my arms around him and kiss him but the doctor had not given the ok. Matthew said, he talked to the doctor and if everything was good this weekend I could go to breakfast and back to our room Monday. I smiled really big and said, I can’t wait for Monday. He said, the doctor said I was really sick and wants to make sure I am ok to go back to daily life. She checked everyone and everyone else was fine. He said, the twins don’t like the bottle and want their mommy back. We had a nice talk. Just before they brought dinner Matthew’s phone rang. It was Carlson. He said, They found the green eyed red head and her friend. That they were bringing them in tonight and putting them down stairs. Matthew said, that is great news. Have my men guard and take care of them. My men are to be respectful. Don’t strip their clothes and don’t hit or miss treat them. Keep them hydrated and feed them when needed. Other wise, make sure they are well constrained. He then said, thanks. I will come see you later and hung up. Matthew turned to me and took my hand. He said, I have to work this weekend so I will not come to see you until dinner. Sergeant will stay with you and the guard will take Sergeant for walks. I said, Sergeant is wonderful. He smiled, really big and said, I love you so much. I have really missed you. It is hard to sleep with the empty bed and can’t wait until you come back. I said, I know what you mean. The dinner was great and I hated it when Matthew had to go. I felt so good that it was hard to sleep. Also my breast kept hurting and leaking. Later that night I heard the door open. It was Matthew checking on me. Sergeant was sleeping on the bed next to me and she raised her head to see Matthew smiling. The door quietly closed.

APRIL 20 SATURDAY I woke early and headed for the bathroom and Sergeant headed to the door and barked. The guard opened the door enough for the dog to go out. I cleaned up for breakfast and the door opened enough for the dog back in. I said to Sergeant, I guess its just you and me. I so miss Matthew. She tilted her head to one side, like she knew what I was saying. I had breakfast at the table. I was so tired of the bed. They brought a bowl for Sergeant. After watching TV for awhile I said to Sergeant let’s go for a walk. I moved things so there was a path around the room. We would walk one way and turn around and walk another. After lunch I called Mom to ask for breast pump. My breast hurt really bad. We had a nice talk. She said, she was so glad I was feeling better. She had me talk to Hunter because Hunter was very upset that I was yelling in pain in the cold shower the other day. Afterward Mom said, it made Hunter really happy. Soon there was a knock at the door with a bag with a breast pump. I took care of that problem and then took a hot shower. I was feeling really good so I gave Sergeant a shower with my favorite soap. She smelled really good and she liked that. When Matthew came for dinner he noticed Sergeant had had a bath. He said to Sergeant, don’t you smell good. I am jealous you get to take baths with my wife. Sergeant wagged her tail back and forth. Soon Matthew said, I have to go. He said, it has been nice but really hard to sit here and not dance and make love to you. I smiled and said, I feel the same. I tried to sleep but it was well after 10pm before I got to sleep.

APRIL 21 SUNDAY I woke early. I turned and said to Sergeant, Well its just you and me again. Thank goodness its the last day. I took my temperature and it was normal. I headed to the bathroom and Sergeant headed to the door to go out. In the bathroom I kept looking at my throat in the mirror. No white spots. I said, hope this day goes fast. I turned on the tv and wondered how the weather was going to be today. I can’t go out but I can watch everyone from the safe room. Soon Sergeant came back and I said to her, I need to find something nice to wear today for dinner. Then breakfast came and time went. We did our walking, trying on clothes to wear, eating lunch and watching shows. When I decided to get dressed for dinner there was a white bow in the bag. I put it on Sergeants head. I said, there you go. You look beautiful. I sat at the table watching tv and reading a magazine when Matthew showed. I was so excited. I go up to see him smiling really big at me, but it changed to a what the hell. Matthews eyes were really big looking at Sergeant. He was not happy. I had stood up and he came over and put his arms around me and gave me a big hug and kiss. He then said, what did you do to my dog? I said, oh. The bow. I was just making her pretty. Matthew looked around and didn’t see Sergeant who had retreated to the other side of the bed. Matthew said, Sergeant come here. Sergeant came with her tail between her legs. Matthew removed the bow and stuck it on my shoulder. With his arms around my waist and we were face to face he said, there are somethings you don’t do and some lines you don’t cross. Putting bows on my working dog is one of them. Sergeant is very well respected by the men and she would not be if they saw her like that. I said, I am sorry. He said, what would the men think of me if I went out with a bow on my head? I said, I am so sorry. I wasn’t thinking. I will not do it again. He started smiling at me. He said, All I could think about today was when I could see you. I said, I really missed you. He said, tell me about your day? I told him about the walking, the tv, and the usually. I am going to be really happy to go to breakfast and see everyone again. Matthew let go of me, got a bottle of water out of the fridge and sat down. I asked what he did today. He said, met with the men, talk to Carlson about business, the diving instructor about training and paper work. Oh, I don’t know. Maybe other boring stuff. I wish I didn’t have to leave you here tonight. I miss you so much at night. I said, I know. Dinner came and it was great. Matthew kept holding and kissing my hand. When it came time for him to leave I wanted to go with him. It was hard to go to sleep being so excited that I was going to breakfast in the morning and not have to return to this room.
