The only thing you have to fear is Despair

I was waking up. I could feel Mark rubbing my shoulders saying, “Do you see the lock?” I was standing in front of a gate in a cave. The lock was on a chain holding the gate closed to a room or small area. I suddenly was there. I grabbed the chain with one hand and the lock with the other. I twisted the lock and broke it. After removing the lock I was able to go in. I was wearing camouflage pants, shirt, and boots. It was a little dark but was able to see someone, a guy on the ground. He was in bad shape. Bearfoot, skinning, dirty, torn clothes with a beard. I put my finger under his nose to see if he was breathing. His breath was so light I wasn’t sure at first. I put both hands under him and picked him up. I jumped to the house in front of the couch. I placed him gently on the couch. Lisa saw me and called 911 for an ambulance. She was yelling at Mark, “Angels in the livingroom get in there.” When he came in the livingroom he saw the guy on the couch and answered the knock at the door. Three meds came in. I said to one next to me. He’s in bad shape. You need to hang some bags and I am sure he needs blood. Mark put his hands around my waste to move me out of the way. I was really sick and kept coughing.

They started to treat him when I realized something was wrong. I said to Mark. “No, no, bomb, bomb.” Everyone looked at me. Mark said, “What?” Lisa started running to the bedrooms and screaming at everyone else in the house. “There a bomb. Get out. Get out now,” as she called for the bomb squad. The med techs had stood up and stepped back. One said, “Where, Is it? Under him?” Two of the techs went outside as the police came in. I ask the one that stayed if he had any scissors. I asked Mark for a pail of water.

The guy didn’t have a belt and his pants were pulled up to his waist. The pants were loose most likely because he was so skin and bones. I carefully pulled his pants down so we could see his abdomen. There was a line across his abdomen with stitches that looked like they were done with fishing line.. You could see there was a bulge under the skin. I asked the med tech is he could give the guy some heavy pain meds so he wouldn’t move. He dug in his bag and give him a shot. The bomb squad was there and gave Mark a bucket that he exchanged for his. I told Mark and the tech to leave. I started cutting the stitches one by one. At least a dozen. The bomb squad guy asked if I wanted him to do it. He said I didn’t look well. I told him no it was fine. When finished cutting, I slowly removed the line. I was worried the bomb could be connected to the line. It didn’t seem to be so everything was fine so far. Carefully moving the skin apart I put my hand in under the bomb which was bigger than I had thought when I started. Lifting it slowly out, checking to make sure they handed attacked it to insides. When I got it out I slowly put in the bucket and the bomb guy took it outside. The med techs came on with clear bags and blood. One tec. took some tape and pushed the skin together and taped to hold until they got him to the hospital.

Mark took my upper arm and lead me to my bedroom bathroom. He turned on the water and put liquid soap on my hands and had me wash my hands. Gave me a wash rag to wash my face. I keep coughing. He looked at me. My eyes had dark circles around them. He said, “Clean up and get back into bed.” He went out and called my assigned government security cleared doctor. When Doctor Roberts got there I was in bed asleep. Mark stood outside the door as he went in the bedroom shutting the door behind him. Mark could hear talking but couldn’t make it out. The doctor opened the door and turned to Mark. The doctor said, “I don’t treat avatars!” Mark stuck his head in the bedroom door as the doctor left. I was gone.
